Thanks for visiting!

This issue is full of inspiration. Each and every page has some fabulous eye candy. And to think most likely at least one if not more of the scrappers featured will be a MMM ‘09. It is so exciting. I must admit though I am so glad I am on this end of it this time…. I was so nervous last year.

Inside there is an article titled “Scrapper or Artist?” where this layout is featured. I believe I am both a scrapper with a little bit of artist that comes out. I like to capture the moment with photos and journaling but then have to add all the stuff to give it more personality and a better feel for what it is I am trying to document.

58 yrs.

Close Up

I really like how this layout of my grandparents turned out and feel the little vintage rhinestone button placed in the center of the flower is the icing on the cake. It is so nice to see that little sparkle of a surprise inside.

So which are you a Scrapper, Artist or Both?

Things that make me happy.

I have had this angel for YEARS… actually for so long I cannot even remember not having her. This little beauty has rested on top of an old clock looking as though she was watching over the family. Well today I walked past her as I have for at least a thousand times and BAM… I thought man she would look so cute in my scraproom watching over all my wonderful vintage rhinestone finds… so now she sits on a shelf in my scraproom and she makes me pretty happy. I attached some of my favorite vintage rhinestone buttons to her skirt using straight pins. The buttons run all the way down the front of her skirt and look so pretty when the light hits them. Now I just look up, pick what I want and replace the one used with another button… no more digging in a box. I think the little bird resting on some mother of pearl buttons looks as though she is telling a few of our family secrets.

Another Maya Road Star Ornament…

December14

I guess this is the year for me to decorate with stars. I can’t seem to get enough of them. Here is one I just completed. I used pattern papers by Daisy D’s, a page from a Maya Road Star Album, Maya Road Velvet Ric Rac, Star Dust Stickles by Ranger, Vintage Mica, Vintage Mercury Glass Bead from old garland, Holly Leaves, Jingle Bells, Jump Rings and a Maya Road Tin that once held some of their Ribbon Slides.

Happy Holidays

It is hard to see in this photo but I placed a little bit of Vintage Mica inside the tin. Oh and I accented the patterned paper inside the tin using Star Dust Stickles.

Have a wonderful evening.

More class projects

October16

Here are a few more sneak peeks of projects I am creating for classes. I am very much in the mood to create Foofy things right now. I just love the feel of tulle mixed with rhinestones, vintage buttons and old photos and I think my Mom was the cutest little girl. She was around the age of three in this photo.

Mini Album that goes with the Ballerina project

Project using old family photo

I’m just about finished with my third project…. tulle, vintage glass glitter and lace are just a few of the products I used. Gosh do I ever love this project. Hopefully I will have it completed by tonight so I can share it with you tomorrow.
