Thanks for visiting!

Yes, Sketchy is just as much fun today as she was 37 years ago. Look at what came in the mail today. I still cannot believe my eyes. I am once again the proud owner of my favorite childhood doll. It just goes to show you if you believe in Santa magical moments happen at any age.

And YES… we still have our Christmas tree up (but it sure is a great photo op for the mini album I plan on creating). Once Christmas is over CHA kicks in and I never seem to get it down. I thought for SURE I would get it down before March this year since it was a much easier tree to decorate than last years. Oh well, I don’t turn the lights on like that makes it any better but the neighbors have come to realize this is me and they like me anyway.

Note to self… take the tree down before Spring Break!

Busy, busy, busy

March22

Finally things are getting back on schedule after Spring Break. Ansley and I went to Beaumont to see family, brought my oldest niece back to stay with us for a few days, had my sister, Mom and youngest niece come and visit and on Sunday everyone went home. Whew, I have been non-stop in my scraproom. Lots of layouts and projects are due this weekend. I finished two layouts for ScrapGal, three layouts, an altered box and a make-n-take for Cocoa Daisy and will work on challenge layout for ScrapGal that is due Monday. I will most likely post it Sunday since I have to go for Jury Duty early Monday morning. I hope I get picked. I have always wanted to serve on a jury. Alan was so lucky. He got picked for a murder trial that lasted two weeks. Watch I will either not get picked or get picked for some petty issue and I will be so bummed.

Anyway… wanna see a photo that shows pure bliss? This is my youngest niece Madelyn enjoying a ride on a horse. We all think it was the highlight of her trip. Ansley had to sit in the cart as she was the only one that would fit and Madelyn could not stand it being empty. Ansley is a really good sport when it comes to little kids. She will do most anything for them.

Today Jane Guthrie from Scrapbooking and Beyond e-mailed me wanting 6 of my layouts and gave me 2 assignments. I am thrilled as I love working with Jane. Maya Roads blog Notes from the Journey uploaded lots of new projects using tag books and some of their new stamps. You really need to check it out. There is so much inspiration going on there right now. I created a banner for my new niece that will arrive the end of May. The front spells out her name and the back has a spot to document her height and weight.

Tomorrow I will upload a sneak peek of the April Cocoa Daisy kit. It is wonderful. The color scheme is fabulous and you are gonna LOVE our April guest designer. She is full of talent. I will give you a hint… she just won HOF. Off to go and find some photos to scrap for my two assignments and a Maya Road project. Have a great evening.

Maya Road Mini Album Sneak Peeks

January21

Here are two of my mini albums that will be on display in the Maya Road booth. I can’t wait to see all the projects in person. One sure thing… I will be snapping photos like a crazy lady. I know everything is going to be awesome. “dwa” stands for Dallas World Aquarium. Alan and I took my mom, sister and her kids to see it over Spring Break. If you are ever in the Dallas area it is a wonderful place to visit.

I’m just about finished with my heart binder and box and will post some photos sometime tomorrow. Then I will work on a layout and make-n-take for Cocoa Daisy. If you like monthly kits, you really need to check out this kit club. Tricia does a wonderful job at putting together the monthly kits and always has awesome guest designers. I’m always so excited to see my kit come each month!
