Alan and I are working on a downloadable tutorial for this adorable one of a kind paper doll. I think she would look great as an embellishment (a very big embellishment I might add, she stands nearly 12 inches tall) on a holiday layout or framed. My tutorial will include the templates to create this paper doll, close up color photos, a list of products you need to purchase and step by step instructions as well as a few helpful tips.

The template for my Accordion Paper Doll Mini-Album (created from the June Cocoa Daisy Kit) is now available on my templates page for only $4.95. This price includes complete step by step instructions, the complete supply list (in case you want to duplicate this project exactly) and my little girl paper doll templates.

I’m not sure how many of you know about ScrapGal but it is my favorite online community and I have to make sure everyone knows about it. I also have to say Carly (owner) has the best online service. I think Carly must go to the post office daily to ship orders. When I place an order it is sent out the next, if not the very same day and is at my door two days later. Really, I don’t know how she does it. Carly always has the latest and greatest products. Dina is an awesome Design Team Coordinator. She is so creative as well as inspiring. You should see what Dina does with Hambly! Just awesome. Dina creates the newsletter each month for ScrapGal and the March newsletter has a great technique that I can’t wait to try. You really need to check it out. Here are a few layouts I created using some of the new BasicGrey Stella Ruby and Scenic Route
I am working on a challenge at ScrapGal but won’t have it completed until next week as I am leaving for Beaumont again tomorrow. Ansley and I are going to enjoy a few days of Spring Break visiting everyone. Last weekend was too quick a trip. When we head back to Frisco Tuesday, my niece Amanda will come back with us and stay until Sunday.
This week I sent my first freelance assignment to BHG Scrapbooks etc. I was pretty excited about it too, to say the least. The layout I created was for the “Make it Yours” column and will be in the Aug/Sept. issue. I guess you will have to wait a few months before you get to see it.
I also finished up an assignment for Maya Road. I can show it to you after the 15th. It is a banner for my new niece that is due the end of May. I created it using the Maya Road blossoms chipboardcoasters, chipboard letters (New York lowercase) , foundations journaling stamps, crushed velvet ribbons and velvet ric rac. I painted the chipboard letters using Making Memories paint and their new glitter glaze.
Well I guess I have put off washing clothes long enough. I really do need to get busy washing and packing. Oh one other thing… I have a little surprise… some of my paper dolls will be for sale starting in April. I plan on creating some off and on to sell. They will come signed by me and ready for you to place in a layout, shadow box or on a canvas. These sweet girls will be wearing their Springtime best as well as show their unique personalities. You will get to meet Isabella Kate, Madelyn Grace, Ansley Danae, Terri Lee and Amanda Lee. They are excited about making their debut. More about this when I return.
Have a great weekend and don’t forget to Spring forward an hour Sunday morning.

Yesterday I received a nice little surprise. Several months ago, I had three cards picked up by Paper Creations for their Spring 2007 issue. Well, I had no idea one of my cards made the cover. This is my first cover so imagine my excitement when I received the magazine in the mail and seeing one of my cards on the front. My card is the one with the flowers. I just have to post some photos. PLEASE don’t think I’m a dork… I’m just pretty excited.

Here are the cards inside the magazine. It even has the patterns to make my paper dolls.

Today I am working on a layout for Cocoa Daisy. Just a bit more and I will be finished. I received the March kit and it is wonderful. The colors Tricia put together are fabulous. You all will love this kit.
Enjoy your day.

Here is one of my favorite paper dolls I created last year. I just had to share her with you. I tried to get the feel of people standing around the Christmas tree singing songs and enjoying each others company. I hope you get that feeling. I am going to decorate a shadow box and put her in it. My daughters just love my dolls. I have several others that I will share with you soon. My husband and I are working on trying to get my doll patterns on line for purchase. I will let those that are interest know as soon as we get it all figured out.
It is cold in Frisco, this morning. We are supposed to have rain/sleet and a bit of snow starting late morning and into early evening. This will be a perfect scrapping day. I will get to finish up some of my MR design team assignments for the Dec. newsletter. Make sure you have signed up to receive their newsletter. You do not want to miss out on all the neat projects the design team creates as well as the upcoming events happening with MR. Also, don’t forget to check out Notes from the Journey. Tomorrow, Jess will be putting up lots of ornaments the design team created using all kinds of Maya Road products.
Tomorrow I get to show you all the neat things I created using my Cocoa Daisy Dec. Kit. Tricia did a fabulous job putting this kit together. If you have not checked out these kits you really should.
