Thanks for visiting!

Okay as promised here are some more photos of the booth at CHA. I tell ya these were all taken the last day of the show because during the show you could not even think about taking photos. That booth was crazy.

Maya Road Tree Album, Heart and Home Chipboard and Jonathan, Noah and Simply Me Alphabets

The Tree Album was done by Aubrey and the little houses were created by Wendy.

Maya Road Villa, Townhouse and Bungalow Houses

These are the cutest houses. The windows, shutters and doors are all stored separately inside the house along with an album. Super fun project. The 3D effect that the windows, shutters and doors give to the houses is so nice. These projects were created by Wendy, Jessica (sure wish someone would get a blog Jess) and Caroline.

Maya Road Stamps

Super cute new stamps All the stamps along the top are new. The images are so crisp. I love working with them. The projects shown are created by Wendy.

Maya Road Trinkets

Man do I LOVE all these flowers. They make my heart skip a few beats each time I see them. They are all handmade and so lovely. The rhinestones are so sparkly and the pearls are all dyed and will not flake off and all the rhinestones and pearls are sewn on to the flowers. Gosh, these are just the best. If you love flowers you really have to get these. The projects shown were created by Wendy and Katie.

Maya Road Beads and Charms

These are the new Trinkets Beads and Charms. They have Birds of a Feather, Hearts and Butterflies and Tutti Fruity. They are the clearest beads with the perfect amount of color and detail. Seriously top notch in quality but that is pretty much a given when you purchase any Maya Road products. The projects shown are created by Wendy.

Okay more tomorrow. I have got to do a few things for Cocoa Daisy using their March kit. I will post tomorrow or Saturday. Man can someone tell me where this week went?

Serious Blog neglect…

August1

I can’t believe it has been a week… I’m sure all of you have seen lots of CHA photos by now. Sorry about that but I do have a great excuse for not posting. I decided to enter the 2008 Memory Makers Master Contest at the last minute. So for the past week I have been in a scrapping frenzy. Last week I was chatting with Caroline about some book ideas and before I knew it she had me entering MMM! Gotta love friends like her that give you that little extra push. I would not have entered but now that it is all over and my package has been delivered I’m really glad I did. Thanks C.

CHA is a great experience. Catching up with friends from all over, meeting online friends for the first time and the early mornings and late nights, to me are so addicting. I love the feeling of a deadline and that slight… I don’t think I can move exhaustion. I honestly love everything about CHA.

Here is a group photo we took in the Maya Road booth the last day of the show. I love all these women and find them all so inspiring.

Tomorrow I will share some of my photos of Downtown Chicago. Jess and I had so much fun and lots of laughs in the few hours we had until we needed to catch a plane.

Have a great day.

What a fun 24 hours…

April29

Friday night and Saturday, I got to hang out with some of my Maya Road friends… Caroline, Jess, Heather and Aubrey. I think we covered all of the DFW metroplex… in a very short amount of time. Friday night we cropped in Lewisville at the Scrapbook Warehouse. Each person brought a make-n-take for all of us to create. There were lots of laughs, stories and just plain fun!

Then Saturday we all went to IKEA. That is a field trip in itself. I love that place and it is just too convenient for me… only a few miles from my house. After our IKEA adventure we headed to Colleyville to do some make-n-takes at the Scrapbook Pad. What a wonderful store. I loved everything about it… the colors, the layout, the employees everything. I plan to go back on a Friday when Heather is working a crop to hang out and scrap.

After that we went to eat at Celebrity Cafe. After a great lunch, Jess and I had the most incredible coconut ice box pie! OMGosh it was so good. We were going to share a piece but then, me being me, decided maybe we wanted our own piece. Thankfully, Jess felt the same way. Baby Noah and Daddy David (that makes me laugh) met us there and talk about a cutie. That little Noah just makes me happy. He is so darn cute. I guess I should say David you are cute too… don’t want any hurt feelings or I might end up with a really bad chore at CHA. But you know, Noah just tops the cuteness. I’m begging Caroline and David to go someplace… anyplace, so I can babysit and spoil that little guy rotten.

After our lunch we headed to Richardson to pick up items from the Magic Scraps garage sale. I found some glitter. You all know how I love glitter. After all that it was time to go home and back to the real world. It was so fun and I cannot wait to do it again.

I get to help Caroline Saturday at the Scrapbook Pad with one of her classes. She has the cutest mini album created using one of the little tins that the ribbon slides come in. It is too cute! So I have a fun Saturday to look forward to. I’m working on a little ribbon flower project today and hopefully will have it completed tonight. I will post it tomorrow.

Caroline gave me some great Maya Road ribbon that is about 3/4 to an inch wide. It makes the best flowers! Their ribbon is the perfect weight for flowers.

What an awesome experience! Caroline and Deb have really put out some incredible products and I want every single one of them. The crushed velvet ribbons, the velvet blossom trims, the velvet ric rac, the velvet blossoms, the tapestry and clocks chipboard, the calendar flip book, all the binders, all the keepsake boxes all I can think of is OH ALAN…. I NEED TO ADD ON TO MY SCRAPROOM!

And so that I’m not alone here is the link to the catalog. You too will be thinking about adding on to your scraproom.

Judi created this really cute sign for the design team wall. Jess had each designer create a canvas for the booth using any Maya Road products we wanted. It was fun seeing how each canvas was so different.

I cannot wait for CHA Summer. I am really going to try to attend. I could easily become a trade show junkie. I find the entire experience to be so much fun! I do know Caroline and Deb have some great ideas to debut at the summer show. I try not to wish my life away but I really wish summer would get here as I cannot wait to see and play with the new products.
