At 9:44 a.m. I see Betterway Books on my caller ID, slight panic as I wasn’t expecting a phone call this morning more like an email this afternoon. I answer thinking some changes need to be made to my book proposal. Nope no changes needed as I hear the following…

“Hello Lisa, this is Christine. I want to congratulate you on being the newest author for Memory Makers Books.”

I’m so happy.

Maya Road Sneak Peek #4

February5

I have my “Sweet Sentiments Box” tutorial listed for those of you that are interested in creating this for a loved one. It is a really pretty project and I am sure it that will be cherished for years to come by its recipient.

Okay on to Sneak Peek #4

I LOVE the new Maya Road Bird Coaster Books… these little darlings have so much creative potential. They are a smaller version of the Bird Coaster Book that was released during this past CHA-S. I loved creating their fancy wings with the new Scrolls from the Scrolls II Collection. The Velvet Sparkle and Jewel Ribbon Blossoms are a wonderful accent as well as their new buttons and Heart and Butterflies Charms.

5 Fanciful birds have been removed for publication.

I can’t believe I only have two more days of sneak peeks until I head off to CHA. Please stop by the Maya Road booth (#1987) so you can see all these great new products in person. They are jaw dropping.

It is always nice…

Prize Package

to know your children are proud of you. This morning I found this sign on my scraproom door. Ansley is so excited that I was chosen to be one of the newest members of the 2007 Maya Road Design Team. I think I will keep this up the entire year.

Yesterday, I received my package from Junkitz for winning the “Hit the Books” contest. Stacey certainly did fill my box with incredible products. Thanks Stacey, I can’t wait to start a project.

Off to create a project for my Mom. I will post it later once it has dried. It is such a fun and easy little project to make. I will include the supply list and directions in case you want to create one of your own.

What a day…

of pure excitement. Early this morning I received an e-mail stating my UR in bloom mini album won the Junkitz “Hit the Books” contest. I am so happy. Then just as I finished reading the e-mail from Stacey, Caroline from Maya Road called telling me I was one of the 13 finalists for their DT. This has been the best scrapping day ever for me. I sure hope I am picked for the final DT. They are adding 6 new members. Any good vibes you want to send my way will be greatly appreciated.
