Thanks for visiting!

Here is the last layout I will be teaching at Lasting Memories. This will be in the 2 - 12 x 12 layout class along with the “Two Sisters” layout. Now to get all the kits put together. I really like how everything turned out and am looking forward to teaching some techniques. It’s those little added touches that make your projects and layouts so special. If you are in the area April 4th - 6th I hope to see you there. If you would like me to teach at your LSS please contact me at lisa@lisapace.com.

Happiness is you!

What a great mail day…

March10

Yes, Sketchy is just as much fun today as she was 37 years ago. Look at what came in the mail today. I still cannot believe my eyes. I am once again the proud owner of my favorite childhood doll. It just goes to show you if you believe in Santa magical moments happen at any age.

And YES… we still have our Christmas tree up (but it sure is a great photo op for the mini album I plan on creating). Once Christmas is over CHA kicks in and I never seem to get it down. I thought for SURE I would get it down before March this year since it was a much easier tree to decorate than last years. Oh well, I don’t turn the lights on like that makes it any better but the neighbors have come to realize this is me and they like me anyway.

Note to self… take the tree down before Spring Break!

Class Sneak Peek #5….

March9

This is half of the 5th class I will be teaching at Lasting Memories. Talk about one creative filled weekend. Lots of fun is being planned. Caroline and I picked out some neat give aways to be handed out during each class as well as some of those oh so popular keychains Maya Road creates. Those little cuties are so versatile. If I have time I will show some fun techniques to do on them. But something tells me with one class Friday night, three classes Saturday and one class Sunday morning I’m going to be a bit crunched for time. Anyway, here is a sneak peek of one layout I created this weekend for the 2 - 12 x 12 layout class I will teach on Saturday. This layout is created with the new Country Fair line by October Afternoon. Talk about the most gorgeous colors. I am in love! Also, notice the cute new Maya Road Noah Chipboard Alphabet.

Sneak Peek #5

Okay back to creating… will post again soon.

Class Sneak Peek #4….

March8

This is a sneak peek of my 4th class at Lasting Memories. Just one more class to complete and then the fun of kitting begins. In this class those that attend will make an adorable whimsical home using templates I created as well as decorative scissors, buttons and embroidery floss. This layout will not only look cute in an album but also showcased in a shadow box and hung for all to see.

Snow twice in one week…

March7

Texas weather sure is strange. Monday it snows just enough to make everything look so pretty. Then it is gone by midmorning… Tuesday and Wednesday it is sunny and warm enough for painters to paint the outside of our house… today it is once again cold enough to snow. And snow it did. As I sat waiting for Ansley to get out of school my car was completely covered in snow. It was so pretty to watch fall.

These are a few photos taken just after I got home with Ansley. We ended up getting around 2.5 inches and a little more should come tonight. Notice there are no photos of kids building snowmen, making snow angels, having snowball fights etc. Just one not so happy snow bunny with a forced smile! But I am happy I at least got this photo. The snow doesn’t seem to be as fun when you are 14 compared to when you were 7 or 8. Total bummer for me. I love photos of kids playing in the snow.
