Glittered Eggs…

Thanks for visiting!

Here are a few more Easter decorations I created. These “Egg Gift Boxes” are perfect for altering. I painted mine using Ranger Acrylic Paint Dabbers in Juniper and Shell Pink then covered the tops and bottoms using Coarse Glitter in Crystal. Once dry I lined the outer edge of each box with Maya Road Cream Velvet Ric Rac, created a ribbon flower out of crepe paper using a vintage rhinestone button for the center and finished it off with two felt leaves accented with a back stitch. These will look so nice sitting on my table with the baskets I created over the weekend. It is finally starting to look like Spring in our house.

Glittered Eggs

Sorry for the not so great photo… it is raining really bad here so the lighting is terrible. And that front crepe paper is not that big, the angle is just not too great for it.

Sunday Brunch Decor

Here is a project I created last night. These easy to make baskets would look adorable on a Sunday Brunch table marking each guests place setting or given as a gift before leaving. I filled mine with glittered eggs and a chenille chick but there are so many other great items to fill it with such as a tiny pot of spring flowers, candy, decorated eggs etc. I think this is a wonderful way to welcome guests as well as Spring.

Happy Easter Happy Spring

This tutorial is now for sale if you would like to create some baskets for your Sunday Brunch or hand out to friends and family..

New Tutorial Monday…

I will be posting a new tutorial tomorrow. If you need a quick Sunday Brunch table decoration or favor this will be the perfect project for you. Very simple and quick to do and doing more than one at a time is super easy.

The baby bunnies are growing very fast. They are filling up their burrow and not much room is left as you can see via the photo. This one little bunny is pretty brave. It always hops out and poses for a photo op. Such a cutie. I am going to miss them when they are gone although I have a feeling these will be the very ones that eat up all my spring blooms. I have a feeling we are going to have a love hate relationship from here on out.

Close Quarters
What a cutie!

Baby Bunnies grow fast…

Man I am just like a little kid. Now that I know these baby bunnies are in our yard I want to go and peek in on them all the time. I only sneak a peek once a day after Ansley gets home from school. Today one was very curious and kept it’s little head out looking all around. One bunny is really small… about a 1/3 of the size of others. I am worried but it’s eyes are now open and it moves and jumps around like the others. So maybe it is just small. Anyway here are a few photos I took today. I can’t wait for tomorrow.

This evening I sat in our front room waiting to see if I could see the Momma bunny come out to check on them and yep as the day got darker she got closer to the den. Nature sure is a fun thing to watch. I now know she resides in the bushes just under our front window.

I spy…

in my front yard 5 baby bunnies. The lawn guy came across this little rabbit den the other day and I can hardly stand knowing they are out there. They are the cutest little things ever. At the moment, I understand why Beatrix Potter loved drawing and creating stories of these adorable little things but I have a feeling I will feel like Mister McGregor in a few months when they start eating all my flowers. Man can they ever wipe out a thing of pansies in no time flat. But for now I am just going to enjoy the little bit of nature I have in my front yard. I will soon have some baby birds to watch as there has been a lot of interest around my bird houses.
