Thanks for visiting!
Yesterday I went with Caroline to help teach her class “Home is Where We” at “The Crafty Scrapper” in Waxahachie. Talk about the neatest store. I am trying to figure out a way to get the residents that live above the store to move. I would so live in that place. I’m not sure the rest of my family would be as happy as I would so I guess I will live there only in my dreams.
If you have not had the chance to visit this store you so need to jump in your car and get there. It is an easy drive, at least I thought it was as Caroline drove and I just talked her ears off. The Crafty Scrapper is located on the historic town square of Waxahachie and is nestled among lots of quaint shops so after you finish shopping at The Crafty Scrapper you can spend several additional hours shopping and eating at “The Dove’s Nest Restaurant.” Carolyn was so sweet and treated Caroline (gosh that is so hard to keep straight) and I to lunch. So we got a little taste of some food from “The Dove’s Nest”. I had the most incredible Chicken Apricot Salad sandwich and their chips are the best.

Check out the amazing amount of Maya Road products they carry.

Honestly you will really enjoy the store. The owner Carolyn and all her employees are super sweet and extremely helpful and Carolyn has some of the cutest projects and layouts displayed all throughout the store created by her design team.
I can’t wait to go back.

Last night while I should have been sleeping but couldn’t I decided to play around with some fabric I bought recently. I love the texture it adds to my layouts and projects especially heritage themed ones and as you all know that is my favorite style. So here is what I created and I think I am in love! Now I just need to create the perfect project to place it on.
Tomorrow I am going with Caroline to help her teach a class at “The Crafty Scrapper“. Caroline will be teaching her adorable altered house class with a mini album tucked inside. This will be my first trip to the store and I am so excited as I have heard so many wonderful things about it.

I’m done kitting all 5 classes. That was a job but everything is finally sorted, cut, packaged and boxed ready to ship to Lasting Memories. Their retreat is April 4th - 6th. I can’t wait to put faces and personalities to all the ladies I have chatted with online. Below are a few photos of some of the items that will be included in the kits. Yep… lots of Maya Road, new Scenic Route and Dream Street Papers as well as Daisy D’s. It’s gonna be a fun filled weekend.

If you need a jump start on some Spring projects Angie at ScrapScene has put together the cutest e-book. She has created 10 projects with easy to follow step by step instructions as well color photos, templates, sketches and a list of tools needed for each project. I especially love the “Cupcake Canvas”, “Vintage Jewelry Flowers” and the “Flying Birds.”
Here are a few sneak peeks of these projects featured in the e-book.

“Bird Nest Cupcakes” are now on the table. It never quite feels like Easter without some bird nest cupcakes. My Mom taught me how to make these when I was little and I have loved making them ever since. All you need is a cake mix, white icing, flaked coconut, green food coloring and jelly beans. Super easy!

Wishing you a Happy Easter.
