I’m home…

Thanks for visiting!

What a show!!! Maya Road’s booth was one packed booth all three days! At times, it was so packed people were shoulder to shoulder. It was a blast doing make-n-takes and getting to meet so many of my online friends and Maya Road lovers.

I had several projects picked up for publication and seem to be getting closer to a book deal. Publishing an idea book has been a dream of mine for quite some time. So we will see how fast or slow this project evolves.

I will post more later as I have photos and links to galleries I want to make sure you see. Today I have so much to do… unpacking and washing are top on the list.

I will be giving away a wonderful Maya Road RAK so get ready to find out what you have to do for a chance to win these products. This RAK will be filled with lots of new releases that aren’t yet in the stores.

Wishing you all a great day.

Let me clarify as I believe there is a bit of confusion…. I DO NOT have a BOOK DEAL… just getting some names in order. Yes I want one and believe me when it happens you will all know.

Today is wash and pack day but…

I have to share just a few more projects with you. I finished all the journaling in this binder last night and must say I am pretty happy with this finished project. I have been wanting to document my little treasures for quite awhile and I am glad I waited. This Maya Road suitcase and binder is just what I needed.

Now here is a really fun project to make that is if you like birds! I used one of the pages from the new bird album by Maya Road and altered it using their crown, scroll and velvet ric rac as well as vintage buttons and some Martha Stewart seam binding. I plan on creating more and selling them here on my site. Oh and once I get back from CHA I will be purging my scraproom of some projects. I will have cards and other items that I have created for sale. So be on the look out for this new feature.

Okay off to wash and pack. Hope you all have a great day.

Maya Road Sneak Peek… #4

I thought I would update my blog tonight since I will be going to play with this sweet little boy tomorrow morning. Gosh I love me some Noah time. He is so darn cute… just look at this face.

Baby Noah who isn’t much of a baby anymore!

His Mommy Caroline and Auntie Deb are at full throttle right now. So while his Mommy works we get to play. Those of you that will be attending CHA are going to love all the projects that will be displayed in the booth… LOADS and LOADS and LOADS of eye candy. If you stop by make sure to say hi! Here is part of the CHA-S catalog if you want to take a look at some of the great stuff coming out. Caroline and Deb are adding items daily.

Now for sneak peek #4… this is the new 3 x 3 accordion album. I LOVE this size and this little project can be completed in an evening. Which is pretty good for me, I can’t remember when I finished one that fast. The scallop frame, royalty crown and microchip hearts are also being released at CHA-S. The paper line is “Beloved” by Danelle Johnson. I love the pink and black combination and can’t seem to get enough of this paper. The photos inside the album are of my sweet, adorable little niece Isabella Kate. I get to see her Aug. 2 and believe me I am counting the days.

Images removed for publication. This project will be in the Dec/Jan 2008 issue of Paper Trends.
Oh and the quote inside is the cutest! My niece Madelyn (4 yrs. old) now known as the “Big Sister” of the house (never mind that Amanda “THE BIG SISTER” will turn 16 in just a few days) said this the day Isabella Kate came home.

Madelyn was holding Isabella Kate for the first time and Isabella Kate’s bow fell out. Well Madelyn says to her Daddy… “Daddy put her bow back in… she can’t be a Princess without her bow.” I think this is the cutest quote ever and will use it on many more projects I’m sure.

Maya Road Sneek Peek… #3

I love the week before CHA as I get to share all the projects I created for the show. It is so exciting to see the clock ticking and feeling that monster of a deadline on your shoulders…. fun, fun, fun I tell ya! Well here is one of the new 6in. circle albums Maya Road will be debuting. I love this size and the little birds and twigs on the cover, well I cannot get enough of these little treasures. I want to stick them on everything.

Maya Road Sneak Peek… #2

I love this new binder… it is such a fun size to work with and I think you will like it as well. I filled this one with photos of my mom making her yearly fig jam as well as recipes that came from her mom. My grandmother was the best cook ever! We would spend two weeks every summer in Salem, West Virginia. These weeks were filled with fresh veggies and strawberries, from Grammy’s garden as well as homemade bread, jellies, sugar cookies etc… I had a guaranteed extra 10 pounds on my body when I got home. I sure miss those summers. Seeing my Aunts and Uncles, running up and downhills and dirt roads with my cousins and my brother and I playing in Grampa’s barn till sundown (or until I heard something and got spooked then I was out of there) was so much fun. Catching fire flies and helping my brother get fishing worms at night…. (note my help was pointing to them from on top of Grammy’s picnic table) are childhood memories I think everyone should have. I am one of the lucky ones that is for sure. Well here is my album… I hope you like it.
