Happy Monday…

If you are new here you might consider subscribing to my latest updates to this site, by RSS feed or via email:

Thanks for visiting!

I hope everyone had a great weekend. This weekend all I did was scrap. I am all caught up on design team assignments and that feels very good. Here is a layout I did for a challenge at ScrapGal. I want everyone to scrap a moment that just makes them laugh. The kind of laugh that brings you to tears and makes your tummy hurt each time you think about it. My sister Belinda was so funny when Mom was pulling her hair through a highlighting cap. Each pull she made the funniest faces or screamed. Belinda had us all in tears from laughing so hard.

Momma Always Said…

I also worked on some Cocoa Daisy layouts using the June kit. Oh there are four little something in this kit that I think are going to be a huge hit. One of them I just adore. Hopefully I will be able to give you a sneak peek soon.

P.S. My little sissybug, it took me nearly 25 years but I finally got you back for digging your fingernails into my makeup. I hope you like the layout. It is now posted all over the internet. Love you and see you soon.

US now…

Here is a layout I did last night for the FFAF challenge on ScrapGal hosted by Marci Lambert. The theme is “Family Smiles.” I love the Cosmo Cricket “Dutch Girl’ line. The colors and patterns are really nice. The chipboard letters and numbers are by Maya Road. I used the numbers as a pattern and traced them onto my layout. Then painted (MM Manila), chalked (ColorBox Creamy Brown) and glittered (MM Glitter Glaze) them up. I also have lots of zig zag stitching on the photos and pattern papers. I love zig zag and straight stitching!

Us Now

My “so much love the roof is coming off” layout sure is getting a lot of exposure. It seems to be popping up all over the place. Here it is on the Making Memories Blog and in the Creating Keepsakes Tips & Tricks section.

Oh if you can make sure and stop by ScrapGal today and tomorrow. They are having an online crop with lots of great give aways. You don’t want to miss out. I will be off and on the message board all weekend. I have so many projects and layouts to get done I most likely will be sleeping in my scraproom all weekend.

What a moment…

I have been a fan of Martha Stewart for over 20 years and I never thought I would get to talk to Martha much less to Martha Live on her show. What a fun experience and one I will never forget. Karen and Emily two of Martha’s producers were really nice and talk about making sure I was prepared! They did a great job with me but I discovered the anticipation of it all scares me to death. I am a just jump in the fire and figure it out kinda person rather than prepare and practice, practice, practice. The first time I had to practice with Karen (which just so happened to be the day before I talked to Martha) I thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown. You know… when people say their knees are/were knocking they are not kidding… believe them as my knees were knocking! I got so scared and was almost ill. I couldn’t even think of one thing to say. But, Tuesday morning when Martha’s staff called to do a line check on our phone I was as calm as I could be… hyper but no nerves and my knees were not knocking in the slightest. I could not wait to talk to Martha.

Here is a little clip of me getting to talk to Martha and if you are wondering… yes, I really am that hyper when talking about scrapbooking. I think I’m going to start doing webisode tutorials on my blog. That was really fun.

Oh and I received my Michael’s gift card today!!! Can you believe they overnighted it to me? I’m sure I don’t need I tell you I have already been to Michael’s. I purchased a few items and have quite a bit left on my gift card. I was just so overwhelmed with all her great products. I couldn’t decide what I really wanted. So, I purchased some glitter (of course), the binder hole edge punch, these gorgeous satin photo corners (Ivory, Brown and Black) and some orange scalloped note cards. I’m going to really think about what I want to create and then go back for round 2.

RAK winner, Kit Add On and some Art Warehouse layouts…

FIRST… I had Alan pick a number between 1 and 43 and Karen a.k.a. KayellWY you are the lucky winner of the RAK. He picked number 34. Please e-mail me your address so I can get this sent right out to you.

I created a kit add on for Cocoa Daisy. It has all the supplies, instructions and templates to make all five of these cards. If you want one Tricia has just a few left. I love getting homemade cards. Don’t you?

Removed for publication

I finally got to play with some Art Warehouse products. Their new “Fresh” line is so bright and cheery. I just love what Danelle created.

Tomorrow cannot get here soon enough. I am going to talk to Martha Stewart early in the morning. You will hear me live on her show. I have no idea what to expect and this makes me very nervous!

Happy National Scrapbook Day

In honor of this day I will be giving away a nice little Maya Road RAK. All you need to do is leave me a comment in todays post and I will have Ansley draw a winner. Here is a photo of just some of the goodies you can win. Jessica said she was going to add a few more items but those will have to be a surprise.

This afternoon I’m going to help Caroline teach a class at the Scrapbook Pad. I know lots of fun will be had by all… I can’t wait. The class is to show everyone how to create really cute mini albums using Maya Road journey tins.

Enjoy your day and please share what you create. I would love to see some projects that were created using some of my tutorials. What tutorials would you all like to see next? Just let me know and I will see what I can come up with.
