especially my own kids so you will just have to hang in there with me as I show some of what my girls have created. Thankfully for you I’m just showing my all time favorites.
Ansley brought this wonderful piece home from school yesterday. I just LOVE this girl’s style. I feel she has a true talent and this is my favorite art piece she has ever created.
This “Self Portrait” was created by Ansley in the first grade. I have it hanging up and look at it everyday. This, too, is one of my favorites. I love how she drew her eyes, nose and lips.
Terri has an incredible eye for photography. This photo is hanging up as well so that I can see it everyday. This was taken for a photography assignment in high school.
I love how she looked around the railroad tracks to find old spikes and metal pieces to spell out “Life”.
This photo really makes you think and has so many interpretations which I feel is what art is all about.
Okay, enough of my mom brag moments. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Tonight, I will be with some of the Maya Road girls cropping at “Scrapbook Warehouse” in Lewisville and doing make-n-takes Saturday at the “The Scrapbook Pad” in Colleyville. It is going to be so much fun.

by Susan J her blog is called Onion Skin and talk about inspiring… If you do not know of Susan you really need to go and check her out. She does great work.
Here are the rules…. Each player starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to write on their own blog about their seven things, as well as these rules. At the end of your blog, you need to choose 7 people to get tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them that they have been tagged and to read your blog!
My 7 random facts or habits are….
1. I always have to let my drinks (Hot or Cold) sit a bit before I can drink them… not sure why I just do.
2. I only wear white shirts. It makes my daughters and my sister crazy!!! I mean so crazy. It is just easier and works for me. I can’t stand the stress of making sure everything matches. Give me paper and I’m fine, clothes UGH!
3. I will dance all over my scraproom or the house but don’t even think I will do it in public.
4. I make a weird face when I put on my blush… my sister says I look like a duck. Gotta love little sisters.
5. I played the piano and clarinet in high school
6. I love to wash clothes.
7. My Dad is Santa Claus.
Sande Krieger cause I love her digi work and am always so inspired by her layouts. Kelli Crowe because I feel she has more energy than the law allows and it shows in her designs. Melodee Langworthy because she can do some incredible tag books. I am always so amazed when I see her work. Ashley Calder because her layouts are so out of the box. I just love everything she creates. Teresa McFayden her vintage style rocks like no other. Danelle Johnson because I’m always wanting to know what is coming next. She is full of fabulous ideas. Tara Whitney because her photography rocks!

will be how to use crackling medium to alter chipboard. It is really easy. I have had several people tell me they cannot get theirs to crackle correctly on projects. So… I will give you a step by step tutorial showing you just how I do it. Then maybe those of you that have had trouble will be just as successful.
I love the way the crackling medium looks on the front, spine and back of my “Spring” binder by Maya Road. Oh a little FYI for you… the crop-a-dile is perfect for punching holes into any of the Maya Road binders. I use the 3/16″ hole punch side and set a 3/16″ eyelet. Then all you do is thread your ribbon and tie a bow. This is a perfect way to keep your album closed if you are like me and embellish each page with lots of lumpy products.

Well Terri’s birthday has come and gone. She has been officially 19 for over 24 hours. Just can’t stop time. I still cannot believe she is 19 years old.

I have been on a creating frenzy for the past 24 hours. I received a box of fabulous prototype products and am having a blast creating projects with them. They are just awesome. I feel like the luckiest girl on earth. I finished one layout for ScrapGal and am working on the second. Tomorrow is the deadline. I have one more card due for Cocoa Daisy. Tricia had me work on some templates for an add on kit. I think you all will love the templates. At least I hope. I need to come up with a make-n-take idea for a Maya Road get together Friday night. I’m so excited. Jess is coming down to see Caroline so we are going to have a little Texas Maya Roadie Crop Night in Lewisville. Aubrey is driving in from the Austin area, can’t wait to meet her in person and I will finally get to meet Heather. Heather and I really do not live all that far away from each other but have never had the chance to meet up. Saturday, we will be at The Scrapbook Pad doing Maya Road make-n-takes. Lots of scrapping fun coming this weekend.
I was asked to create an album for the Fiskateer’s blog using all Heidi Grace products. I LOVE the monochromatic green. It is the perfect shade and happens to be my favorite. Thanks May for asking… I had a blast using the products.
Then I discovered this little surprise on the CK site Erin loves “Golden Retrievers” as well. Just scroll down under “From the Boards” and you will find the layout I created of Sophie and Sonny using the adorable Maya Road chipboard crowns. I LOVE this little things.
Gosh the weather is just terrible here. It’s raining so hard I think I just saw a few cats and dogs go by. We really need to rain here in Frisco so it’s good we are getting some I just don’t like the other stuff that comes with it… hail and tornados. Nothing like Springtime in Texas.
Wishing you all a happy day. I will be able to share some projects soon. Until then I will try and create some tutorials. Is there anything out there that you all would love to know how to make? If so, leave me a comment and I will try to help you out.
Oh… almost forgot my RAK winner from the other day is Olivia. Olivia e-mail me your address and I will get your package right out to you.
