is the pits. I have it big time right now so I decided to post my two projects using items from the April Cocoa Daisy kit. Here is a little box I altered. I love shard glass. I think it is so pretty when the even the slightest amount of light hits it.

Here is an altered coaster with a photo of my niece. I think she is just beautiful. If you want to know how to recreate this project make sure you sign up for the newsletter at Cocoa Daisy. Tricia will have step by step instructions in the newsletter.

I guess I will go back and try to get this assignment finished. Title work is always so hard for me. Hopefully it will come to me once I start creating. Have a great evening.

A really quick project

This project is so fun and is a total scraplift from Rachel Ludwig. When I saw her layout in the creating garden at 2Peas I knew I had to make one for my niece Madelyn. Rachel created hers using BasicGrey mini monograms. I created mine using Maya Road chipboard letters and hearts.

I love using crackling medium on chipboard and think it gave the piece a really nice shabby chic feel which is how Madelyn and soon to be Isabella Kate’s room is decorated.

I then added some Making Memories glitter glaze to give some added sparkle. The crown on Madelyn’s head is one of the new items from Heidi Swapp. If you like bling you like Heidi Swapp. I think the crown fits perfectly on Madelyn’s cute little head.

I’m presently working on a few projects that I cannot share. You will have to wait until they show up in a magazine or two. I do have a few challenges for Maya Road to complete. The Cocoa Daisy April kit will soon be on sale. I know you will want to see what Mou has created. She is our guest designer. I will be able to show you my layouts from the April kit in just a few days. So until then… happy creating and remember always savor the creative process.

Easter Cards

Here are a few cards I created yesterday. For some reason I love creating templates. Kinda strange but I really do like it. The velvet ric rac and blossom trim are by Maya Road. I LOVE all their velvet ribbons they are just fabulous to work with.

Images removed for publication. These cards will be in the Spring 2008 issue of Paper Creations.

Yesterday, I completed one of the two layouts for Scrapbooking & Beyond and will start the second one today. Then I have to type up all the instructions and material lists as well as include some templates that I created. I really do not like doing this part of the deal but I love seeing my creations in the magazines so I just have to take the good with the bad. I am also working on a little creation for my niece Madelyn. I will have it completed today and will show you tomorrow. It is so cute… can’t wait to share.

Wishing you all a happy day.

Our Family…

I created this layout for a challenge on ScrapGal. Talk about lots of fun. The challenge I decided to do is “Savor the creative process” so if you want to participate just grab your favorite drink, turn on your favorite TV show, movie or music, grab some paper and start creating. Try not to have any idea of what you want to create… just create. This is what I ended up creating.

The cute little chick on top of the roof is by Maya Road. I created the fence along the side of the house using their new Tapestry chipboard. The possibilities are endless with these.

I’m off to start two assignments for Scrapbooking & Beyond. Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. Will post again soon hopefully telling you all I was picked to be on a jury Monday. Keep your fingers crossed.
