Cocoa Daisy has the Dec. Kit up and ready to sell. I have placed lots of my layouts and projects into my gallery for you to see. I love how Tricia put this kit together. The bright colors were so much fun to work with. I will be adding a few other little projects from the kit later in the month. I can’t give everything away all at once.

Don’t forget to post a comment before midnight tonight. I will announce the winner of my RAK tomorrow. Good luck everyone.

Be of Good Cheer

Christmas Paper Doll

Here is one of my favorite paper dolls I created last year. I just had to share her with you. I tried to get the feel of people standing around the Christmas tree singing songs and enjoying each others company. I hope you get that feeling. I am going to decorate a shadow box and put her in it. My daughters just love my dolls. I have several others that I will share with you soon. My husband and I are working on trying to get my doll patterns on line for purchase. I will let those that are interest know as soon as we get it all figured out.

It is cold in Frisco, this morning. We are supposed to have rain/sleet and a bit of snow starting late morning and into early evening. This will be a perfect scrapping day. I will get to finish up some of my MR design team assignments for the Dec. newsletter. Make sure you have signed up to receive their newsletter. You do not want to miss out on all the neat projects the design team creates as well as the upcoming events happening with MR. Also, don’t forget to check out Notes from the Journey. Tomorrow, Jess will be putting up lots of ornaments the design team created using all kinds of Maya Road products.

Tomorrow I get to show you all the neat things I created using my Cocoa Daisy Dec. Kit. Tricia did a fabulous job putting this kit together. If you have not checked out these kits you really should.

Altered Coaster

Santa Coaster

Santa Coaster Open

I LOVE these photos of Terri and my dad. She loves it when he wears his Father Christmas costume. One year he was in the Southern Living magazine for “Dickens on the Strand” in Galveston, Texas. I will have to find the issue to show you. Anyway, I thought it would be nice to create an altered coaster using the Blitzen line by BasicGrey. I think the papers go perfectly. I love creating anything in miniature form. I don’t know what it is that draws me to that size but I always think in miniature first. Isn’t that teeny tiny jingle bell just too cute on this coaster!
To recreate this coaster you will need the following supplies:

  • Chipboard Coaster
  • Pattern Paper
  • Stickers (letters)
  • Fluid Chalk Ink (Chestnut Roan)
  • Colluzzle (tree)
  • Fibers
  • Button
  • Embellishments (jingle bell, charm, Clip)
  • Mini Card (cut to appropriate size)

Have fun and remember, if you recreate this or any of my projects please send me a photo so I can start a gallery of inspiration.

Christmas Card, Gift Holder and Envelopes

Envelope and Card

Click here to view more photos

I LOVE to create templates. So, for a few family members I created Christmas envelopes to match their gift card holders as well as Christmas cards. These are a bit time consuming but I think they look really pretty and I know the recipients will love them.

Also, you really need to visit Notes from the Journey and look at the ADORABLE Advent Calendar Jessica created using lots of MR products. It is just the cutest thing I have ever seen. I will certainly be creating one of these for next Christmas. I just love it.

Oh and one more thing… it is almost Dec. 1st and I will get to show you all the layouts and projects I created for Cocoa Daisy. I just loved playing with the Dec. kit. It was so bright and cheery. Just perfect for a little bit of Christmas fun. You certainly want to make sure you get your kit ordered. The gallery will be full of great ideas.

Okay, now I know some of you have recreated some of my projects so please send me a photo. I really want to have a gallery to show off your work.
